The TEFCE Toolbox for community-engaged universities was piloted at Technological University Dublin on 7-8 November 2019, in an event co-organised by Dublin City Council.
The conclusion of the piloting visit was that the TEFCE Toolbox works and opens critical and participative dialogue with local stakeholders on how to push the community engagement agenda forwards.
The piloting visit involved focus group discussions with over 18 engaged practitioners from TU Dublin, local community partners and national experts. The international visiting team consisted of TEFCE partner representatives from 6 countries (from universities of Dresden, Rijeka, Ghent and Twente, the City of Rijeka, the European Consortium of Innovative Universities, the Association of Catalan Public Universities and the Institute for the Development of Education).
In addition to confirming the value of the Toolbox for mapping the community engagement of TU Dublin, the meeting also identified several aspects of the Toolbox that could be further improved and clarified.
