The TEFCE consortium (consisting of 13 partner institutions from 8 EU Member States) held its second meeting in Barcelona on 17-18 January 2019. The main objectives of the meeting were to present and discuss
• the results of the mapping of policies and practices of community engagement in higher education (work package 1 of the project)
• the proposed 'TEFCE toolbox' for community engagement in higher education (work package 2)
The consortium partners all confirmed the high quality of the mapping and of the proposed toolbox. Several elements of the toolbox were identified as needing further clarification, meaning that the Expert Team will need to make corrections and additions to complete the toolbox
Finally, the project meeting confirmed the details for the next phase of the project: piloting the TEFCE toolbox at four partner universities, in partnerships with local or regional authorities by the end of 2019.
