The TEFCE Toolbox for community-engaged universities was piloted at the University of Rijeka on 7-8 November 2019, in an event co-organised by the City of Rijeka.
The piloting visit involved focus group discussions with over a dozen engaged practitioners from the University of Rijeka and local community partners. The international visiting team consisted of TEFCE partner representatives from 4 countries (from TU Dresden, Dublin City Council, PPMI and the Institute for the Development of Education).
The conclusion of the piloting visit was that the TEFCE Toolbox helps institutions to map their community engagement practices and evaluate their level of engagement, as well as identify areas for further improvement. The meeting also identified several aspects of the Toolbox that could be further improved and clarified.
