May 7, 2018

The TEFCE project manager Thomas Farnell attended the EUA 2018 Annual Conference (entitled “Engaged and Responsible Universities Shaping Europe” held at the University of Zurich on 3-4 April 2018, due to the close link between the conference theme and the TEFCE project. The conference welcomed 400 participants to discuss the pivotal role of universities in generating knowledge, developing intercultural understanding and fostering civic engagement through their core missions.

During the networking sessions of the conference, informal meetings were held with representatives of the European University Association, the International Association of Universities and vice-chancellors of higher education institutions, who expressed interest in following the TEFCE project and confirmed their openness to provide feedback to the TEFCE toolbox and policy recommendation during the project’s consultation activities.
